    Dr. Moore Joins the Board of Directors of Immunotech Laboratories
    • Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. has joined the Board of Directors of Immunotech Laboratories Incorporated of Glendale, California. Immunotech is a publicly trade company. It has indefinite licensing rights to the Irreversible Pepsin Fraction (IPF) peptide molecule for the specific treatment of HIV/AIDS. IPF has demonstrated to have both fusion inhibitor and immunomodulator capabilities during in vitro studies with no viral resistance. This provides potential option opportunities for patients that have already shown resistance to one or more antiretroviral (ARV) therapies. Resistance to all commercially available ARV agents within all classes has been reported. The Company is seeking fast track status designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

    Dr. Moore Serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of Award Winning Company, Telcare
    • Telcare, LLC is a privately held Maryland company founded by Dr. Jonathan Javitt, a physician and former health advisor to both the Clinton and Bush Administrations. Telcare won the People’s Choice Award at the CTIA Fund Fest held in San Diego, California on October 14, 2009. The CTIA Fund Fest is sponsored by CTIA WIRELESS, the international association for the wireless telecommunications industry. Telcare uses “machine-2-machine” cellular technology to link patients with chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes) to physicians and other caregivers in order to improve compliance with treatment and outcomes of care. By creating an immediate two-way feedback loop between patient and caregiver, Telcare has already demonstrated the potential to reduce incidence and costs of complications by nearly 40 percent, at no added cost to the health care system. Dr. Javitt, Founder and CEO accepted the People’s Choice Award for Telcare.

    Dr. Moore Attends Invited Dinner with Delegation from the Delta State of Nigeria
    • On September 3, 2009, The Executive Governor of The Delta State of Nigeria, the Honorable Doctor Emmanuel Uduaghan, invited Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. and about 20 others to attend a private dinner to explore linkages and partnership opportunities with this important and critical state in Nigeria. The Delta State is a major oil producing region of Nigeria. Dr. Uduaghan is a physician trained in the specialty of anesthesia. He has served in a number of important and relevant health-related positions in the Delta State. While serving as Assistant United States Surgeon General (now retired), Nigeria was one of 53 African countries that Dr. Moore had responsibility for while serving in the Immediate Office of the U.S. Secretary for Health and Human Services.

    • On April 28, 2009, the Board of Directors for Tobira Therapeutics appointed Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr., Assistant United States Surgeon General (Retired), to its Scientific Advisory Board. Tobira Therapeutics is a privately held company which is committed to advancing research and product discovery against life-threatening and life-altering infectious diseases, such as HIV/AIDS. Tobira Therapeutics is headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey.

    Dr. Moore Re-appointed to Maryland Health Care Commission
    • On March 20, 2009, the Honorable Martin O’Malley (Democrat), Governor of Maryland, re-appointed Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. to a 4-year term as a Commissioner on the Maryland Health Care Commission. Dr. Moore’s initial 4-year term as a Commissioner was at the direction of the former Governor of Maryland, the Honorable Robert Ehrlich (Republican). Dr. Moore served for 10-years on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery General Hospital, Olney, Maryland, in a number of positions of leadership. Montgomery General Hospital is now an integral part of MedStar Health, a $3.1 billion non-profit healthcare organization. The Maryland Health Care Commission is a public regulatory commission created to address the health system needs of the State.

    Dr. Moore Joins Scientific Advisory Board of HemoBioTech Incorporation
    • On March 12, 2009, Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. joined the Scientific Advisory Board of HemoBioTech, Inc. of Dallas, Texas. HemoBioTech is engaged in the commercial development of a novel human blood substitute technology composed of bovine hemoglobin. About 10% of the new cases of HIV/AIDS globally are caused by HIV contaminated blood. There is a major need for a safe alternative to human blood. Dr. Moore will work closely with publicly traded HemoBioTech (HMBT.OB), and its medical researchers, physicians and scientists to this end. Dr. Moore, Assistant United States Surgeon General (Retired), has extensive expertise and specific experience in making the Nation’s and the World’s blood supply systems safer from the transmission of infectious diseases.
