Dr. Moore Joins VivoNex as Senior Advisor
- Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. has been appointed
Senior Advisor of VivoNex LLC which is headquartered in Coral
Gables, Florida. VivoNex has a patented technology, NexDose,
which electronically aids patient compliance with prescription
medications. Poor patient adherence to therapy is a major issue
world-wide. Poor adherence can cause severe medical and economic
consequences in virtually every disease state (like cancer,
diabetes, and HIV) treated by medical therapy. Dr. Moore is
a former Assistant United States Surgeon General, and he has
served as a Commissioner on the Maryland Health Care Commission,
appointed by the Governor.

Dr. Moore Attends Reception to Establish the
Joycelyn Elders Chair in Sexual Health Education, Minnesota
- On October 28, 2010, Dr. Roscoe M. Moore
Jr. was an invited guest to attend a reception for United States
Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders in Washington DC. The reception
was held to help establish the Joycelyn Elders Chair in Sexual
Health Education within the University of Minnesota Medical
School. Dr. Elders began her medical residency training at Minnesota
in 1960. She served as United States Surgeon General from 1993
until 1994. Dr. Elders was in attendance. Dr. Moore served as
Assistant United States Surgeon General from 1995 until 2003,
and as Chief Veterinary Medical Officer within the Commissioned
Corps of the United States Public Health Service from 1989 until
1993 selected by Surgeon General C. Everett Koop.

Dr. Moore Attends Dinner Honoring Elon Musk
and Others
- On October 21, 2010, Dr. Roscoe M. Moore,
Jr. attended the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies 2010 Navigation
Awards Dinner held in Washington DC. The Navigator Awards are
so-named to reflect the belief that national leadership in science
and technology is a never-ending process of finding the way
ahead. Four people were honored with this year's award by the
Potomac Institute at its annual dinner. They were: Mr. Elon
Musk (CEO/CTO, Space Exploration Technologies, and CEO, Tesler
Motors), The Honorable Arden L. Bement Jr. (Former Director,
National Science Foundation), Dr. Jeffrey Wadsworth (President
and CEO, Battelle Memorial Institute), and Dr. Gerald M. Edelman
(Noble Laureate, and President, Neurosciences Research Foundation)
. The Potomac Institute established in 1994 provides the United
States Congress and the current Administration with non-partisan
advice on science and technology and their effects on national
policy. Dr. Moore has been a Senior Fellow with the Potomac
Institute since 2003.

Dr. Moore Attends Reception for Minister of
Health, Israel
- On October 19, 2010, Dr. Roscoe M. Moore,
Jr. was an invited guest to attend a reception in Washington,
D.C. for the Minister of Health for Israel, Dr. Ronni Gamzu.
Dr. Gamzu was on an official visit to meet with the U.S. Secretary
for Health and Human Services. He is a board certified obstetrician
and gynecologist, and holds advanced degrees in business and
law. In addition, Dr. Gamzu has a Ph.D. in human reproduction.
He was appointed to his current position in May 2010. The reception
honoring Dr. Gamzu was sponsored by the Smokler Center for Health
Policy Research within the Myers-JDC-Brookdale Institute based
in Jerusalem. Dr. Moore has served as a senior advisor to the
biotechnology sector in Herzlia, Israel since 2005.

Dr. Moore Joins MusclePharm Corporation as
Chief Scientific Director
- Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. has been appointed
Chief Scientific Director of MusclePharm Corporation which is
headquartered in Denver, Colorado. MusclePharm is poised to
enter the next generation of therapeutic nutritional supplementation
to mitigate the impact and progression of wasting syndrome in
HIV/AIDS patients. Unintentional and involuntary weight loss
in people living with HIV/AIDS has long been recognized as a
serious consequence of this disease. Dr. Moore is joining MusclePharm
in order to provide the most effective evidence-based approach
for its growth opportunities in the medical products community.
Dr. Moore while serving as Assistant United States Surgeon General
was responsible for joint HIV/AIDS programs between the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Agency
for International Development (USAID) in 40 countries on the
Continent of Africa.

Dr. Moore Attends a Private Dinner for the
Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria
- On April 19, 2010, the Governor of the
Central Bank of Nigeria, the Honorable Sanusi Lamido Aminu Sanusi,
invited Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. and 40 others to attend a private
dinner to discuss important advances in the banking system of
Nigeria. He reported a 30 percent increase in revenue growth
over the prior year. This event was sponsored by a number of
global private companies, and was coordinated by the Constituency
for Africa, a United States based advocacy organization for
African interest. Dr. Moore serves on the Board of Directors
for CFA.

Dr. Moore Joins the Scientific Advisory Board
of ImQuest Life Sciences
- Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. has joined the
Scientific Advisory Board of ImQuest Life Sciences of Frederick,
Maryland. ImQuest is a privately held company, and a leading
provider of anti-infective and anti-cancer drugs, and vaccine
development services to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical
industry. He joins Drs. David Ho (Aaron Diamond AIDS Research
Center), Richard Whitley (University of Alabama, Birmingham),
Robert Schooley (University of California, San Diego), Dan Van
Hoff (Translational Genomics Research Institute, Phoenix), Albert
LoBuglio (University of Alabama, Birmingham), and Edward Sausville
(University of Maryland, Baltimore), who also serve on this
board. ImQuest focuses on the development of novel therapies
for diseases such as hepatitis B and C, cancer and HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Moore is a former Assistant United States Surgeon General
with a long and distinguished career in infectious and chronic
disease epidemiology, cancer research, and public health.
